מחקר

 

המחקר שלי עוסק בגורמים לאובדנות וכיצד ניתן למנוע אובדנות. במיוחד אני עוסקת באובדנות בקרב בני נוער הקשורה במצבים בין אישיים כמו בדידות ובריונות (קורבן לאלימות פיזית, מילולית או חברתית), ואובדנות כרצף של התנהגויות סיכון ופגיעה עצמית.

סיימתי את לימודי הדוקטורט בפסיכולוגיה קלינית באוניברסיטת בר-אילן, והשלמתי פוסט-דוקטורט בביה"ח האוניברסיטאי מאונט-סיני, ניו יורק. כיום אני חוקרת בתחום האובדנות במרכז פיינברג לחקר הילד בביה"ח שניידר ומלווה תלמידי מחקר.

 

במסגרת לימודי הדוקטורט ריכזתי מחקר רחב היקף שכלל שיתוף פעולה עם חוקרים ממדינות נוספות ובמסגרתו נבחנו התערבויות שונות לאיתור נוער בסיכון אובדני בקרב 11,000 בני נוער בישראל ובאירופה. בעבודת המחקר בחנתי מודל תיאורטי הנשען על התיאוריה הבין-אישית לאובדנות המתמקדת בגורמים בין-אישיים והתנהגותיים המנבאים סיכון למחשבות וניסיונות אובדניים.

מחשבות אובדניות ופגיעה עצמית בקרב בני נוער הן תופעות נפוצות אשר דורשות התייחסות, התערבות ומניעה מוקדמת. המחקר בתחום תורם לפיתוח ההבנה של הסיבות למצבי סיכון אלו ולפיתוח שיטות יעילות למניעה וטיפול.
